Hi!!! My name is Mrs. Pepper B. DuPont. I teach 3rd grade Math and Science. I am so excited about the new school year!!
About Me:
I graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2001, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My certification allows me to teach grades 1-8, and the funny thing is I have actually taught every grade (PreK3-8th grade). I immediately started working at Woodland West Elementary, two weeks before Christmas break. I spent 3 years at Woodland West and taught 2nd and 4th grades. Then, I moved to C. T. Janet the year of Hurricane Katrina. I spent one year there and taught 4th grade. Next, I moved Lafitte Elementary/Leo Kerner Elementary School in Lafitte. I worked there from 2006-2017 and taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Then I tried out Middle School at Roosevelt Middle School in Kenner. I taught 6th grade Math and Science, 7th grade Science, and 8th grade Social Studies. My next adventure took me to a private school, Immaculate Conception School. There I taught PreK3-3rd grade computer, 4th grade Math and Religion, 5th Grade Math, and 6th and 7th-grade religion. Finally, I joined an amazing team at Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish. This is my 2nd year at AAJP and I teach 3rd grade Math and Science. I am also a technology specialist. I absolutely love working at Athlos and hope to stay there for as long as they will have me.
I am also getting ready to go back to college. I am applying to LSU graduate school to get a Masters Degree in Administration/Leadership. I hope to become a Principal once I get my Masters Degree.
