Enrollment Process

Thank you for your interest in Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish. We are a tuition-free, public charter school located in Terrytown, Louisiana. We serve students in grades K–8 living in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding communities.

We are accepting enrollment applications for the current school and next school year in grades K-8.

OPEN ENROLLMENT

  • The open enrollment period for the 2023–2024 school year is open now.
  • For the best chance of enrollment, submit your student’s application before the enrollment period ends on February 1.
  • If you submit your application after the enrollment period ends, your student will be offered a seat on a first-come, first-serve basis.

WHO CAN ENROLL

  • Enrollment is open to new students entering grades K–8 living in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding communities.

LOTTERY

  • If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held on February 2, 2023.
  • We will begin sending lottery notifications to families shortly after the lottery takes place. You will either receive an offer letter or a notification of wait list. Watch your email closely so you do not miss a notification.

Athlos Academy holds an annual open enrollment period every year. Submitting an application makes your student eligible for a seat according to the school’s policy and state law; it does not guarantee your student a seat.

Athos Academy of Jefferson Parish is held accountable to all state enrollment laws. According to the school’s enrollment policy, all applications for enrollment will be subject to a lottery admissions process (See Student Policy 5102 for more information).

Complete your child’s registration in PowerSchool.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

In addition to completing the PowerSchool registration form, you must turn in the following required registration documents:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Child’s immunization records
  • Proof of Louisiana residency.
